It started on my Dad’s farm.
My Dad has a small farm in Sussex. It just happens to have some of the best Low Weald wildflowers in the county. He searched himself, had surveys done, and brought in experts from time to time. Much of it was written down, but scattered around the office and elsewhere. He wanted more, though, so, being a geek, I put something together for him: simple, mobile, and private. I’m glad to say he uses it all the time… probably to the detriment of the day job.
The barn owl seen at dusk, the orchids back in the top field, the year the swallows returned early. It lives in notebooks and memories, and it leaves with the people who held it.

Most farmers are pretty private people. Nobody sees the records of your land unless you ask them in.
Your records are private by default. You choose who joins a farm and what each person can see. Until then it stays between you and the people you trust.

No one can see a farm's records until you add them.

Roles you set
Make a person an admin, a contributor, or a visitor, and change it whenever you like.
Locations stay vague unless you share them
Visitors can see that something was recorded nearby, not the exact spot, unless you choose to show it.
